As you can see from the photos, the building went from a deck to
a completely enclosed house in that short time.

Meet the Newman
of the greatest privileges that we have at Seneca Habitat is the
elation that is felt when we select a new partner family to build a
home with. Finally, after a challenging period of a little over two
years without finding a qualified partner family, we’re happy to say
that we have a new one.
It’s our distinct pleasure to
announce that Seneca Habitat has selected Robert and Tina Newman, and
their children, as our newest partner family! Robert and Tina are
both from Tiffin, have local employment, and passed our
criteria with flying colors. After their application was reviewed by
our Family Selection Committee and recommended for approval, the Board
of Directors voted unanimously to welcome them.
Tina, and their family will work with our Building Committee and
volunteers to build their home, which will be the seventh one that is
constructed as part of our Third Avenue Development Project. They are
currently slated to build a four-bedroom home with us, and our builders
are working on the design of the home, as well as ordering materials
and the groundbreaking. Even more amazing, we are also pleased to
announce that we are planning our Second Annual Extreme Build, in
partnership with the Seneca County Home Builders’ Association, for the
Newman home, at a date hopefully in mid-to-late October. More details
will be announced later.

put our construction efforts ahead of schedule. The 2012 and
2013 Extreme Builds were incredibly successful, and the 2014 Extreme
Build is tentatively scheduled for July 26th, 2014.
